Sparks of Joy

As some of you know, I just led my first European Wellness & Adventure retreat. It was soul-filling. The people, the places, the moments—they're all woven into what I'm sharing below. Here are the sparks of joy from the last two weeks:

  • Edith, 79 from Alaska. Seat mate from Frankfurt to Seattle. 59 countries. Retired Fire Chief. Married 50 years.

  • The color of the sea in Mallorca

  • The white sand in Mallorca

  • Habib and Aida. New friends in far away countries.

  • Voice Memos

  • Diet Coke

  • Marco Polos

  • Football game as the sun was setting

  • My oldest calling to tell me "Mom I am on my way" five days early

  • An opportunity to add more yoga classes to my teaching schedule

  • Learning at my day gig and finding center

  • Mack's 4th birthday next door

  • Dogs who wake up early enough that we get to watch the stars together

  • My youngest's sense of humor

  • An old voicemail I found from my Dad that only caused a moment of sad and a whole lot of gratitude for his voice. I love his voice.

  • Unexpected friendships

  • Old friends who are soft places to land

  • Taking myself to lunch and dinner in Spain. I like my company these days.

  • Being really honest when friends ask how I am. Lately I am in the feels.

Moments like these remind me why I love gathering people together—whether on the mat, on a retreat, or in a workshop. There's magic in creating space to pause, breathe, and notice what matters.
